Hi, I'm Katie Yeandle

Registered Kinesiologist

My goal is to inspire my clients to stay active throughout their lives and reject notions that they should slow down.

You can live life to the fullest, saying YES to activities you thought were pipe dreams.

Just like my clients who have climbed ruins in Peru, hiked mountains in Yellowstone or photographed wildlife in remote locations.

Fitness is the tool that helped them go from years of pain and brain fog, to these once-in-a-lifetime moments. â€‹â€‹

The best part?

It gets to be fun!

Let me help you rediscover the joy of movement, so you can have a strong body and sharp mind!

My Story

While pursuing a Human Kinetics degree from the University of Guelph, I volunteered at a fitness program for those with neurological conditions. Stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s, and some conditions so rare I had never heard of them before.

Everyone in the program worked so hard to regain their independence.

To not let the diagnosis define them.

To prove wrong the doctors who told them they can’t.

Everyday I was inspired by the people in that program and I knew that I wanted a career where I could play even just a small role in the journey of these underdogs.

This is how my passion for how exercise can impact the brain was sparked. â€‹â€‹

The more I learned, the more fascinated I became with the effect of exercise on managing the symptoms of Parkinson's Disease.

From there, I dove into how it can help memory, focus and even reduce the risk of dementia!

However, I realized that these methods were not widely used and very few people were benefitting from brain-body fitness.

I decided to create a business focused on these areas in hopes that I could help my community take control of their futures and continue doing the things they love.

All while making fitness fun!

And so Achieving Motion was born.
